A professor of chemistry wanted to teach his 5th grade class a lesson about the evils of liquor, so he produced an experiment that involved a glass of water, a glass of whiskey, and two worms. "Now, class. Observe closely the worms," said the professor first putting a worm into the water. The worm in the water writhed about, happy as a worm in water could be. The second worm, he put into the whiskey. It writhed painfully, and it quickly sank to the bottom, dead as a doornail. "Now, what lesson can we derive from this experiment?" the professor asked.

Little Johnny raised his hand and wisely responded, "Drink whiskey and you won't get worms!"

Tech Toy of the Day: Logitech Harmony One Advanced Universal Remote

If you are like me you have a couple of components at home that require a remote. I have my 52″ Samsung TV, Samsung Blu-Ray, TiVo, cable box, PS3, receiver, and probably some stuff I am forgetting. The cable remote with work with the TV, but not any of the TV advanced functions – just power and volume. Nothing works with Tivo which makes me not want to use it half the time. The solution was the Logitech Harmony One Advanced Universal Remote which allowed me to easily configure everything right the rough my computer. The system receives regular updates so the remote doesn’t become outdated as new devices come on the market, it has a nice color screen, and can handle the advanced functions you have on the actual remotes. Not to mention you eliminate the clutter of having 10 remotes floating around. If you want to use this with your PS3 because it is your Blu-Ray player you need to pick up an adapter for it, but you don’t have to get that PS3 remote.

It might be a short week for those of you celebrating a holiday this week, but that doesn’t mean that Wednesday still isn’t in need of some Hump Day Hotties. Since the 4th of July is always a huge day to hang by the pool or the beach so you can enjoy the sun I felt that Hawaiian Tropic ladies were necessary.
